The operating systems described above are rated for 240 volts operation.

Many of these motors are also available to work from a 24-volt power supply.

There are a number of advantages with 24-volt motors:-

• Lower power consumption
• Suitable for high frequency usage
• Can run off ‘Battery Back up’
• Can use ‘Solar Power’ panel(s) to re-charge batteries (subject to suitability)
• Incorporates ‘Force Limitation’ on detection of an object
